Declaration on accessibility

The AOK Federal Association (AOK Bundesverband) endeavours to make its websites and mobile applications accessible without barriers in accordance with the German Federal Ordinance on Barrier-Free Information Technology (BITV 2.0) and the German Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz – BGG).

This declaration on accessibility applies to the German-language variant of the zuwanderer.aok.de website.

Current compliance with requirements

As the following optimisations are still pending, this website is currently only partially compliant with BITV 2.0 and the BGG.

Non-barrier-free content

Unfortunately it has not been possible to make our present website fully barrier-free; we are currently working on improving accessibility. We therefore ask for your patience a little longer. Within the scope of the planned website relaunch, extensive intervention at the programming level is required.

The following kinds of content are not barrier-free:

  • The structural HTML syntax is not fully consistent.
  • The colour scheme is only partly compliant with requirements regarding minimum contrast. The same is also true of the focus in a few places.
  • The destination of links cannot always be clearly extrapolated from the link texts (“Find out more” buttons).
  • PDF documents are not barrier-free at the moment.
  • The function for locating branches does not issue an error message when no postcode is entered.

The drafting of this declaration on accessibility

This declaration was drafted on 2 September 2020.
It was checked for compliance on the basis of the 60 test steps in the BITV test: testen.bitv-test.de/index.php

The most recent such test took place on 2 September 2020.
